POMS 11th Annual Pre-Health Conference
The Pre-Medical Organization for Minority Students (POMS) is hosting its 11th Annual Pre-Health Conference on September 23rd, 2017. The climate of healthcare is constantly evolving, and healthcare professionals must adapt to their circumstances by researching, creating, and innovating responses to epidemics, incurable diseases, inadequate healthcare and healthcare availability variances among many populations.
The speakers leading our workshops have a variety of experiences that give insight into an entirely different view of the healthcare field. The networking event will allow you to form connections and pick the brains of professionals across a variety of fields. There will also be an opportunities fair, where you can explore options in graduate schools (medical, dental, PA, etc.), potential future employers and gap-year service and internship opportunities. We will end the night with a catered CHIPOTLE dinner and a panel of medical students from Pitt Med who will share their advice and varied experiences about their path to medicine.
Dress is business casual.
